We do pre-payment in our spa, because we work here for five years and for the first two years some people use to take the chance of our busyness and left without payment. And then we still were able to fit you in. Hi Danielle! How are you? Your appointments had to be one first and then the other because as you say, and thats the truth, we were busy. I wouldn't recommend and I won't be back. this was the Complete Pedicure & it felt very incomplete. The massage lasted less than 5 minutes for both feet. The nail tech accidentally cut me while trimming the cuticle so that burns a bit, but it was an honest mistake. The pedicure itself was very sub par, the seat is very uncomfortable, they put a bowl of water on the table (see picture). So fast forward 10 minutes to once my husband finally got a parking spot and was able to get back.
They wouldn't even let me stick my feet in the water, which doesn't require the nail tech to do anything. They refused to start the service until we paid in full, well my husband had the money & our card doesn't work in Portugal bc we didn't call the bank ahead of time. My husband dropped me off and went to park the car. I arrived about 5 minutes late due to getting lost. We drove 30 minutes from Quarteira based on the reviews. We called and had to get separate appointments one after the other due to them being full, that was okay, we were glad they could get us in. My husband and I had a down day so we decided to get pedicures.
Anyone wanting to try this out should not hesitate, as it was relaxing and gave out feet a much needed rest!! We will definitely be visiting somewhere like this again. The therapist was professional, friendly and the place was clean & tidy.
PEDICURE WITH FISH NEAR ME SKIN
We paid for a fifteen minute session and can honestly say that we both really enjoyed the experience, the fish do tickle slightly but is a nice feeling, the fish are toothless and are called Gara rufa fish and they get rid of the dead skin on your feet. So we decided to try the fish foot pedicure, first the therapist gently washes your feet and then gives you these white disposable slippers to put on, then walked over to the tanks removed the slippers and placed our feet in the tanks of warm water. While we were enjoying the sights and doing some souvenir shopping, we came across this place called Zensation body & soul, which is up one of the lovely narrow streets, which specialises in fish foot pedicures & other relaxing body & soul techniques. We decided to visit Albuferia's old town, which is absolutely beautiful.
We recently spent 7 days in Portugal, as it was our choice for our honeymoon destination and are from the UK.
